Sounds like it back fired.
Which fuels are you using?
This may have happened because the engine was too hot for the gas. Be sure to let the engine cool down before switching next time.
As for repairs you will most likely just need an air filter, air box, and maybe as mass air flow sensor.

If you can, take your Toyota back to the seller and have that individual explain the "little things" tht are wrong with it, then decide whether yoy want to pour money into major repairs.

1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic - car stalls intermittenly. Just had the CPS changed, could it be as simple as the battery cable?

Sounds like a bad ground. When it wont start run a jumper cable from the negative side of the battery to a good ground on the motor and try the body also. Rule that out first.

Ac fan was working, turned off car and 2 hours later went to leave, car starts but ac fan not working no cold air hot air ..nothing all fuses look good. auto zone said it is probally the resistor

It is (in order of likeliness) either a fuse, the resistor (located in the airbox near the fan for cooling purposes, that resistor gets HOT!), the fan motor itself, the control switch, or, less than likely, wiring issues.

It can be quite a job to get in the airbox for the resistor and the motor as you probably have to take half the dash and trim out in order to get to the airbox...

Out of gas

If your car is anything like my truck, there is a relay switch under the dash. When the fuel gets to low, it shuts the car down to prevent damage to the fuel pump. It should be right under the passenger side dash, on my truck there is a reset switch. Look for this, if you can't find it, you may need to have the car taken into the dealership to have it done. You should never let your car get that low on fuel for various reasons, this being one of them. Good luck.
