Question about 1999 Chevrolet Venture
Can a 1998 chev lumina 3.1 V6 fit in a 1999 chev venture 3.4 V6?
Why are you swapping an older model engine with your new model vehicle it's not very compatible with an older engine. Components like the transmission ECU and other electronics parts will not be a proper match.
I would suggest to buy a 99 model Chevrolet venture engine that you can find with an online dealer like Rebuil engine @ Hiperformer, among others.
