Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

AC light is flash and no cold air is coming out.

I tried to recharge the compressor but fond the pressure was already full. Checked pressure switch and it's good. 2001 eclispe GT

There is a problem in the ac clutch control circuit, it is imposs to say what it may be until the system is tested for the trouble code

Compressor keeps turning off and on. Stays on for about a minute. Cycles off. Then stays off. Does recycle after a few minutes. How do I add coolant and where.


It is normal for the compressor to cycle - when a certain pressure is reached in the system, a pressure switch disengages the compressor clutch, and then activates it again when then the pressure drops below a certain point. Unless your air temperature doesn't stay relatively constant, there is no need to do anything. If it doesn't, the system may need recharging and that should only be done at a certified repair shop.

A/C stopped blowing cold air and clutch not engaging after charging so I got a radiator fan assembly temperature sensor and tested the three relays but the fan's are not coming on.


if you recharged the ac system then it is probably over full in which case the high pressure switch will stop the compressor clutch from working
take it to an ac specialist shop for a pressure test as it is not charged by the amount but by the pressure readings

How do I get fire to an AC compressor I just replaced on an 2001 Chevy Z-71 5.3?


Did you fill the system with refrigerant? That system should take 1.8 pounds. Next place to check is the low pressure cycling switch. It's the switch on the accumulator (big round silver thing on the fire wall on the passenger side).

There are 2 switches that control the ac compressor operation . One is to stop the compressor destruction from an over full system or a high head pressure from the condenser fan not working . When the system pressure is exceeded then the ac compressor switches off . The other is a low pressure switch that shuts the ac compressor when there is too little gas . Unless you have checked the system for leaks ( why else would you be adding gas) then if you have just recharged the system it is more than likely that there is too much gas . Best advice is to go to an accredited ac specialist and have the system checked for leaks and the correct gas pressure/ volume

My Cadillac 08 CTS will not blow cold air the relay checked out but when I jumped the relay the compressor kicked in and it blew cold air when I put the relay back in I had nothing tried a horn relay...


there are 3 switches that control the operation of the ac compressor . There is a high pressure switch that will not allow operation if the head pressure goes too high ( excessive gas-blocked system-tx valve condenser fan not working )There is a low pressure switch that stops the compressor when the gas has leaked out and is insufficient A thermostat that will not register and so will not switch on the compressor and finally ac compressors will not work unless both the ac switch and the blower are switched on. Have the system checked out by an accredited ac specialists.;l

Ac is not working in my 2008 Chrysler Sebring. We checked all the fuses, and tried to recharge the AC, but indicator said that the freon is full and there are no leaks. at this moment it is just bowin


Check the A/C compressor relay . Also ck the low pressure switch for the A/C system . you can unplug the low pressure switch and jump it with a paper clip to rule that out . Ck the A/C compressor fuse if you haven'y already

I have a 2001 chevy suburban that has no power to the pressure switch for the a/c. i've checked fuses and relays nothing. I also tried a different control head also. thanks


this control is controlled by the computer. make sure your a/c relay is good along with fuses. check the high pressure switch connection on back of compressor it may need to be put on a tech 2

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang V6, the ac is blowing warm air. We checked the refrigerant and it is full. The ac compressor will kick on for a few seconds and then kick off. Why is the compressor not staying...


it's either low (in spite of your readings) or your a/c clutch is not working correctly or you have too big an air gap in the clutch.
First, just disconnect the 2 pin connector from the a/c pressure cycling swithc and jumper the 2 pins with a wire to force the clutch to stay engaged. See if it blows cold then, and stays engaged. You can run this way for about 15 minutes before you have to pull the plug.

2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor, The A/C light flashes. The book says its a compressor issue. Got a recharge kit thinking it maybe low on freon, only the pressure gauge reads 60/70psi when the A/C is not running...


try like this frist you want to found the AC compressor relay by using fornt fuse box cover.after that remove the AC relay.then you start the jeep and turn on AC at that time AC switch not blink king you have to replace AC compressor

My 2001 maxima a/c does not cool. checked pressure is full, compressor does not engage, relay is ok, when relay is taken out and bridge with a wire compressor comes ON and a/c cools. can someone help...


Find the low pressure cycling switch or it can be named clutch cycling switch, the switch your looking for is the low pressure switch jump that and if it come on replace the switch it , it is on the low presssure side,
