Check the gas cap. there is a sensor somewhere in the gas tank that knows when the gas cap is loose or has a defective seal.

1998 grand prix low coolant light keeps coming on thermostat, hoses, radaitor, and intake gaskits have been replaced...the radaitor is full everytime i check it

If the engine is running well and not running hot, chances are that the coolant level sensor has failed. You can either replace it or ignore the warning light and just check the level as "routine maintenance"
while checking your oil and other fluids weekly as every good vehicle owner does and has done since there were cars to drive.

Check engine light on,code po 300 random multiple cylinder misfire,i replaced the plugs and wires ,its a 98 grand prix supercharged,it runs good except for the engine light, can i reset it?

you don`t say if after you replaced components the miss fire was fixed.you may have the problem still there as on these cars the light will go out when the problem is fixed.however you can reset the light with a scan tool or disconnect the battery for a minute.record your radio stations as they will have to be reset.the procedure to reset radio is in your owners manual.

Hey guys, i am no mechanic not even close, but my pontiac grand prix se 4-dr automatic with 6cyl, has been acting strange when i first start it and drive it maybe 30 min the low coolent light comes on and...

The first things to do are: 1. Make sure the radiator is full when the engine is cool (check the fluid in the radiator as well as the overflow tank). 2. Make sure the thermostat is working. 3. Have the lower intake manifold gasket checked. The Grand Prix SE came with a 3.1L engine (standard) and these engines are famous for lower intake manifold gasket problems.

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, check gas cap

Could possible be the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. It is located on top of the fuel pump. The fuel pump access is located in the trunk, under the carpet, behind the back seat. The AutoZone part number is SU 1390.

1998 pontiac grand prix gt service engine soon light just came on. Auto Zone did a test and came back with a code. It said ''Fuel Air Metering P1133''. Can you tell me what this is?

P1133 HO2S Insufficient Switching Sensor 1

THIS IS THE O2 SENSOR CLOSEST TO THE ENGINE AND BEFORE THE CONVERTER.

AN EXHAUST LEAK OR A BAD SENSOR COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

CHECK THE O2 SENSOR WIRING FOR DAMAGE, CORROSION, ETC.
