Have you checked the fuse box? It's most likely under the dash or under the hood. You can find the right one by comparing the underside of the box to the panel. Pull the fuse out and see if is broken. If not your blower is most likely bad and will have to be replaced

SOURCE: blower motor in gmc safari will not activate

here is how to find out if blower motor is bad, locate blower motor under hood at firewall passenger side. Remove wire from blower. Get a length of wire long enough to reach from battery to blower. strip both ends of wire about an inch. attach one end to positive side of battery touch other end to blower motor terminal. This will spark a bit when touched. If motor doesent run and you are sure both ends are connected replace the motor about 45 bucks at auto zone.

The blower will not blowair

Hi,
Commonly caused by a bad 'blower resistor'. You'll need to search online - Google: Safari blower resistor or Astro Blower resistor - on WHERE the resistor is located.

I have a 98 gmc safari and the blower motor is making a horrible sound. how do you change it without destroying the dashboard?

The blower motor is changed from under the hood, remove the coolant overflow tank and cut the insulation from around the blower motor then remove the 5 clips from the blower motor and the disconnect the wires. Remove the blower motor.

I had this problem in a s10 blazer, it ended up being a badly corroded ground wire that actually connected to the blower at one of the mounting screws.
