You need to hook up the charging hose to the "low Pressure" port it should be the one closest to the a/c compressor, if you look at the lines coming off the compressor you will see it!!
it is the smaller one, the charging connector will only fit on one of the ports, so if it appears it will not slide on to the port then you need to try the other port!
also make sure the engine is running and the a/c is turned on while you are adding freon!!

Where is the opening to add freon on a 2000 buick lesabre

I have a 2000 Lesabre and it is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment right on top of the Canister. There are two ports, one is larger than the other and both have a threaded plastic cap on them. The smaller one is the low side where you can check your R-134 pressure. Start engine and run the A/C on MAX. Remove the plastic cap from the smaller valve connect your gauge to that valveFollow the instuctions and tempurature specifications on the R-134 package. f9068a37-e087-4f01-b346-ecdafc697251.jpeg 587e478d-1464-4e2e-8ad9-44bf76552d6f.jpegThere ya go man, as you're hooking up the refill line hit the trigger so u don't allow any air in the lines instead of just straight freon.

I need to add freon to my 1997 geo metro, but I don't know where the compressor is located

It doesn't matter where the compressor is.

When you get the install kit it will have directions to follow. There are two ports on the ac lines. One is larger than the other to help prevent you from connecting to the wrong side of the system. The ports are covered by black caps.

Hey i dont know which one is which to charge my air on a 05 dodge durango

a green cap about the size of a dime will unscrew off the Schader valve to add freon to your ac unit. The line is the thinnest one of the two

I need to change freon in my dodge durango 2000 how do i do it

You don't. First off it contains R134 and not R12 Freon. You do not change refrigerant you add to it but only after you repair the leak. You add refrigerant at the low port side. Normally a blue or black cap with an L on it. It is the larger pipe. If you have no leak and the A/C is working fine then do nothing. If you have a leak then you need to have it repaired by a pro.

My 2008 F250 w/ auto air conditing will only blow hot air after the truck is out in the sun for a short time when it is cool in the morning it works fine..

YOU NEED TO ADD MORE FREON TO THE UNIT. SOUNDS LIKE IT NEEDS TOPPING OFF. YOU CAN BUY R-134A FREON IN A PACKAGE WITH A HOSE AT A PARTS STORE. DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHARGE THE UNIT , NO PROBLEM. OPEN HOOD, START TRUCK,TURN A/C TO MAX WITH BOTH DOORS OPEN RUNNING AT
NORMAL SPEED, NO REVING, THEN FIND A BLACK METAL PIPE
RUNNING FROM A SILVER DEVICE CALLED AN ACCUMULATOR.
THE PIPE WILL HAVE A CONNECTOR, JUST UNSCREW THE CAP
AND PLACE FREON HOSE WITH THE CAN CONNECTED TO IT AND
SECURE THE END OVER THE PORT VALVE. OPEN FREON VALVE ON THE CAN AND PLACE UPRIGHT AND LET IT SIT. WHILE INSTALLING THE FREON, FEEL THE VENTS BY THE DOORS OR
DASH TO SEE IF THEY ARE GETTING COLDER. WHEN THE VENTS ARE COLD YOU CAN TURN THE VALVE OFF ON THE FREON CAN
AND DISCONNECT IT FROM THE FITTING AND PLACE THE CAP
BACK ON THE VALVE. THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT. YOU CAN ASK THE PARTS STORE CLERK WHICH PORT IS FOR CHARGING THE UNIT IF YOUR UNSURE. THEY ALSO SELL R-134A FREON WITH A
SEALANT MIXED IN WITH THE CAN JUST IN CASE YOUR UNIT MAY HAVE A LEAK IN THE SYSTEM. REMEMBER, **NO REVING** NO
MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT CHARGE FASTER. IF YOU WANT FASTER CHARGING THEN KEEP THE CAN WARM. FREON WORKS WITH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WHICH
MEANS WARM DAY OR CAN IS FASTER THAN A COLD DAY AND
A COLD CAN. FREON MOVES FASTER WHEN HEATED.

Where is the port to add the freon

if u didnt find your freon port, the low pressure side is on the passenger side next to the firewall. Notice where the strut is bolted and look a little further in. Hard to see and hard to get to. Hope this helps..

How do I recharge the AC freon on my own?

You should have R12 freon in a 1990 but you can put R134 freon into that system the only problem your going to have is the adapter for R12 is different from R134 after you get the adapter you need to put the freon in the low pressure valve not the high pressure, you will know which one because the adapter only fits the low pressure valve which is located on your AC lines under your hood, theres a little cap thats either blue or black you unscrew. You can't buy r12 anymore because its not good for enviorment so buy R134. you can buy at any parts store for like $5 to $10.

F150 5.4 pickup 2000 air condtioning

your system is a 134a it is not freon based. the lowside is the bigger port and usually has a large black or blue cap on it it should be located near the a/c compressor on the driver side where the line goes to the condensor. your high side should be on the passenger side near the dryer it will be the smaller port and have either a black or red cap. the ,low side pressure should be 35 psi and the high side should be 150 psi. please rate this.....thanks
