Sounds like a electrical problem. If its a VW you will have nothing but electrical problem cause the wiring harrness was made in some third world country. I know cause I worked on a several of them and if its a 1.8 turbo trade it in next the head will melt down.

I have replaced the starter in my mustang 3 times already because either the gear shatters or just winds up and doesnt turn the motor over

Maybe you have a run of bad parts. Maybe the engine is trying to run backwards because of ignition timing or a crack in the distributor cap. If it is a high mileage engine, the thrust bearings are letting the crankshaft move forward and backward too much.

Had starter checked and it is good.have to turn key back and forth several times before car doesnt make any noise or anything,it does nothing at all until the 2nd or 3rd time sometimes

Could be a worn out ignition switch & the
starter solenoid could be bad

Don't personally care how or what was tested,
based on what I see on this site, not much is done
correctly, when you pay someone

My gas guage is stuck on 3/4 tank being full what do i need to do to fix it

If the problem happened right after you replaced the pump, I would say the sending unit in the tank is not connected to the harness.
You could check the circuit to the gauge at the connector for the tank.

Could be the BTSI solenoid in the shifter, have that checked . You may have to buy complete shifter if it proves bad. This would keep you from removing key. Call you local dealer with VIN number and mileage have them check for the recall pertaining to the key rotation, yours may or may not be involved.

My 97 pontiac firebird gas gauge doesnt move

Dear Madam or Sir,

please remove the multi plug from the tank sensor, short the contacts in it with ignition switched on. Now the gauge should move to max.

If it does not do so, the gauge is defective.

There is a good chance that your ignition keys need to be replaced, you can pick up a replacement ignition lock switch at Auto Zone and they will have the step by step instructions to getting the job done.

Dead battery key stuck in place can't remove clicking noise under hood?

Open the hood and check to see what is clicking and jump start the vehicle to see if it starts.Once it starts then turn the ignition off and see if the key will come out. Also check your mileage and if you have under 36k miles then it is still under warranty.Take it to the dealership and have them check it out.Hope this helps.Good luck.
