Yes it can. The gas will thin out the oil and you may spin a crank bearing, and the gas will also eat away your engine seal's causing a premature rebuilt. Change the oil and filter as soon as you can and change it again after 3,000 miles. Good luck and how did you get gas in your gas tank??

If there is a Auto Zone around your area, have the car scanned for DTC codes. Let's start with that and that way we can repair the performance problem you have with out spending more time and money we should. good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you gte your car rolling 100% again.

The only thing that may be happening which is common is the fuel pressure regulator in the Sequential fuel injection system has gone bad and leaking in to your manifold, Your not the first and wont be the last that this has happened, check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve and see how long it take for it to drop, Auto Zone should have the fuel pressure gauge and can give you the step by step instructions to doing a pressure drop test. If it drop's too fast then there is a leak and most likely it's your fuel pressure regulator. If that is the case, try to do the Salvage Yard and replace the whole SEFI. Good luck and keep me posted.

What kinda tune up can i do to improve gas milage

Hi Richard:
If there is a lot of pitting or corrosion visible, it would not hurt.
Replacing the spark plugs and air filter would help.
Changing engine oil and oil filter may not help with milage but it will make the engine last longer.
Increasing tire air pressure to the maximum rated for the tires will usually result in better milage but may actually increase tire wear rate.
Cheers

If my 2004 chevy silverado oil pressure gage stays at 80 psi could this hurt the engine

I would want to know what the actual oil pressure is. The sending unit or the gauge on the dash could have failed.
There is a pressure relief valve to prevent oil pressure from going too high, but staying at 80psi would not be good for a long time.

I ran out of gas and when i put more in i grabbed the wrong gas can, it was gas mixed with 2 cycle engine oil. will that hurt my car?

I would fill the tank with some good gas to dilute it. It won't harm anything but it may smoke a little.

When you start engine you have to give it gas or it won't start

replace your fuel & air filters, add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank, todays fuel w/ ethanol is hurting your engine, change your oil also.

While it hurt if there is no oil in the car overnight

It will not hurt the car engine if there is no oil in it as long as it is not started with no oil in it. In most cases the engine can run about 1-2 quarts low and still be ok but that is not recommended. The engine should never be run with the engine oil light on or oil pressure gage extemely low.

I have 2001 V6 Mustang. I was keep putting 87 octan gas but just recently I changed ontan gas from 87 to 91. Is it going to hurt? I shouldn t change it?

No it will not hurt and there is no reason to switch to a higher octane gasoline with this engine. Certain engines in Corvette, Cadillac, etc with special combustion chambers utilizing different types of metal for performance need higher octane gasoline. Your v6 does not. If you hear knocking, have your valves checked and make sure you oil pressure is good. If you switched for no reason, switch back and save yourself $$$

Car stopped running after about a mile of getting gas, didn't start back up. Auto mechanics say the gas looks yellow with a blue tint to it

You may have mistakingly put in deisel fuel.If this is the case then the tank needs to be drained and replaced with gas.It will start hard and then smoke some but it not hurt the engine unless it has gotten down in your oil pan.Be sure to pull the oil dipstick and check to see if it is over full before starting. If it is change the oil and the oil filter.[Hope i'm wrong]

Over fill oil by around 2 quarts. does this hurt engine ?

It can cause the engine to blow out seals and be harder on gas mileage. Drain it out and refill to the correct level. Hope this helps.
