Mcdevito75 here, it could be the ignitions coils that are bad or a faulty ignition module, have your shop check these items.

Hello
The engine in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Where are the sensors in grand prix 2000 car would die going down road would pull over and wait for stereo clock to shut down the car would restart and may go two or three weeks before doing the same thing...

sounds like a crank sensor went bad.sometimes in early stages they are intermittent then they finally go bad and car wont run. look into that. as far as the key switch it could be orn out or your key could have a small nick on it

1991 Camaro RS v-6 will start but dies almost immediately

Keep it simple and replace the fuel filter first, if thr fiiler has not been replaced within 30,000 miles or 1 year. Then it's a good chance that it's going to be the fuel filter.

It souds like the same problem i had a few months ago, have your timing belt checked, i am most certainly sure that it is the belt, usualy the belt breaks, or slips off the pulley.......hope this is helpful.
