Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
The cd changer in my 2002 jaguar x-type has decided all of a sudden not to work. Although the magazine is loaded with six original cds the display screen shows "cdc no disc". this problem occured one day after I used the mix all cds feature. When ejecting the magazine and then reloading it the display reads "cd1 loading" and then "cdc no disc" appears and reverts to radio station. Please help!

unplug the power to the cd player for about 10 minutes or so. usually that reqiures unhooking the car battery. if that radio is of the anti-theft variety make sure you know the code and how to enter it before you remove power

check the cartridge has not jammed or disc has not got jammed if i remember correctly you can cycle through the faults using the head unit to help have you got your audio hanbook suppliment? if the cd or cartidge has not jammed eject the cartridge and try a battery reset, i.e. disconnect the vehicale battery for a few mins., i seem to remember they did this when the head needed cleaning what it means is the head unit as lost contact with the auto changer. also check the power lead e.t.c and the data connector
