SOURCE: Why is my 2004 Jeep liberty sport Brake lights not

The brake light switch is probably bad. It's usually located up under the dash and is connected to the brake pedal shaft. It could even be unplugged.

Jeep liberty 2002 fog lights not working what could be wrong with them?

Check your fuses first, then your bulbs. If it is neither of those, it might be an issue with the on/off switch. You will have to have it checked by an automotive shop.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty sport and my brake lights are out. The 3rd brake light still works and I checked the fuse and its good. What else could it be? Please help !!!

change the bulbs in the two back tail lights they only cost around ten bucks and most higher quality oil changing stations can do it for you, if you do it yourself you take the light bessal off and with a screw or two and pop it out! Its fairly simple.. good luck

Lighting problem

If the wiring on your Liberty hasn't been messed with, the brake light on the left aft side may have been replaced with the wrong one. You may want to double-check to make sure this isn't the case or simply purchase a new one. Also check the bulb socket to make sure there isn't a stray piece of metal in there, causing BOTH bulb filaments to turn on when the brake is depressed.

I hope this helps to solve your problem! :)

No brake lights

Check the brake light switch. It should be located under the dash by the arm of the brake pedal. When you push the pedal down with your foot it activates the switch. The switch can be tested with an ohm meter or multimeter. If defective, it will need to be replaced. Hope this helped and good luck.
