How to fix rear window switch/motor?

The switch could be defective. All window power comes from circuit breaker 2 in the fuse block so obviously the other windows work OK. You can bypass the switch and apply power directly to the window motor to check operation.

Power windows 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme any bypass to get the windows down when the motor is bad

Inside the door you will see a long arm attached to the bottom of the glass. Push that arm up until the window is closed. If the motor is jammed you may have to remove the two bolts holding the window to the arm. good-Day!

1999 mercury sable. The front passenger window will only go down. It is currently half way down. It will not go up, even while trying to pull the window up while pushing on the up switch. There is no noise...

The up/down switch toggles +12 and -12 volts to the motor. Remove the door trim panel and remove the connector to the motor. Insert the probes of a voltmeter and operate the switch. If you see power and ground toggle, the switches and wiring are good and the motor is bad. If you don't see toggle, then you've got a master switch or wiring harness problem. All power and ground goes thru the master switch.

Hi I have optra car 2004 some time the right window not work up or down

A couple possible faults: 1. bad window regulator 2. Bad window switch. To check if your window motor is bad, you can run a wire from your battery to the window motor connector. disconnect the connector and touch the pins with the ends of the wire. by reversing negative and positive will power the window up or down.. If the motor moves the windown normally with this bypass, If it do not, check fuse and relay, if fuse and relay ok you may have a bad window switch.. (replace)

How do i open my 1990 suburban back cargo window, the electric motor doesn't work is there another way to open it

Don't get cut!!!!!
If it is the switch you can bypass it.
Remove the switch the switch will have 3 wires most of the time. Find the power wire or run a power wire to the switch if no power. One of the 3 wires makes the window come down.
If the motor is bad you will need to remove cover from inside of door. Place a 2x4 in side door to keep window from falling. Unbolt linkage, Remove clips or rivets. Next get help to hold window up remove 2x4.
let window down slow. Open door and replace motor.
Caution door parts are very sharp!!!!!!!!!!

take off the interior door panel and locate the window motor. if it is the drivers front window it has two wires going to it. One is a brown wire the other is Dark Blue. Provide battery pos to one wire and battery ground to the other. If window motor does not go up switch the jumper wires to reverse the window motor.

91 4 runner tailgate, window wont open

No there is no bypass. The Motor in my tailgate crapped out on me last year partly to do with a rusted out tailgate that let water in! I replaced my tailgate, but in my research found that the only way to get the window down was to remove the inside panels on the tailgate, un screw the cover plate, and then unbolt the motor to allow the window to drop enough to open the tailgate. Once the tailgate is down it will be easier to see the internals and remove the motor. Hope this helps you
