Where is expansion valve on a 2003 ford t bird

That model shows an orifice tube and not an expansion valve. The tube is in the connection to the high side of the evaporator.

Warranty work. If you need to replace it... It is because the compressor is falling apart. It's a 2015. An expansion valve will last 10 years if the system is good. 1+ year, you have a compressor problem. You need a compressor,expansion valve, dryer and the system cleaned out.

expansion valves (TX valves-thermal expansion valve)are locate at the inlet tube at the top of the evaporator unit inside the car. The line from the condenser goes in one side and the evaporator coils on the other.. Not a DYI job.

the complete climate control assembly unit is required to be removed in order to remove the heater core. The climate control assembly is attached by studs & nuts which are accessible at the firewall in the engine compartment. The R134 refrigerant will need to be evacuated and the a/c lines at the expansion valve removed in order to remove the climate unit. Hope this helps. :)

You likely have a defective expansion valve, recover the charge from the system and pull off the interior panels to expose the AC evaporator core and the expansion valve.

yes there are two expansion valves.. front one is either on firewall, engine side or inside the heater plenum which usually requires removing the dash... big job

It sounds like you may have a small refrigerant leak somewhere in system.Check for evidence of a green dye around a/c hoses and see if front of a/c compreesor is wet with a/c oil.

e = error. shift cable may be stretching. needs replacement or adjusting
