INC means the self tests that the ODB system runs are incomplete. N/A means those systems are not tested on your vehicle. If all codes are reset/cleared, or if the battery has been disconnected, the computer will run all the diagnostic tests to establish that the systems are working properly. In most states, most of these tests must be completed with no trouble codes detected before passing inspection. You will have to run the car through a number of 'drive cycles' to get all the tests completed.
If you had a emissions problem and it has been corrected and the check light is out, then it should be cleared after 200 miles.Or will just show is a inactive fault
Do you have a Scan tool to plug in to the cars CPU . You must reset from this scan tool and did you change the O2 Sensor with the battery hooked up. Try and take the Negative battery post wire off and wait for about 15 min then hook it up this might clear the CPU but the Scan Tool is the way to go because something else might be causing that light to stay on . Look for other issues you might have changed your sensors for no reason and make sure your gas cap is on and on right . Sounds like you need to rescan to check for other problems. need more info on what is going on and what you have done . Let me know I will try to help .
If the check engine light stayed off then that means that those errors are not present at this time. It is not un common to have intermittent faults but I would not preced any further until the light comes back on. Then re-scan the code see which are to begin diagnostics.
Let's see if I got this right. The vehicle can't be driven because of legal issues with the emissions test, and it has to be driven 200 miles before it can be tested. Talk about your catch 22. Jack that thing up, put it on jack stands, fire it up, put it in gear, and watch the miles add up.
