I would say that you shorted out the item on the other end of your start switch due to it working backwards. Check the continuity of the wires from switch & check the switch.
the way i reset the antitheft is to put the key in the ignition and turn it on till all the dash lights come on but dont start it let it sit 15 minutes turn the key off and turn it on again till all the lights come on again repeat this procedure three times after the third time turn the key off for about 5 seconds and then your car should start hope this helps.
Check to see if the security light is flashing. If it is turn the ignition on, but don't try to start it. let it set for ten minutes, do this three times with out taking the key out of the ignition. After the third time your vehicle should start. If not let me know and we can go from there.

if you have steering wheel controls it is in the odometer section, if not, turn the key on but don't start it, and pump the gas pedal to the floor three times within five seconds and wait, the change oil lamp should start flashing then go out and thats it..
engine off turn key to run. Fully press and release the gas pedal slowly three times within five seconds. If light flashes, system is resetting. Turn key off, start engine, if light comes back on repeat.
I just had my battery die from the car sitting 6 days. Battery was dead. Put on 40 amp charge for 30 minutes, then turned key on, off three times. Then key on, foot on brake steady, shift car slowly through each gear until reaching D. Then back to park. Key off and on and start!
