You are going to need an a/c compressor, the clutches are gone.

K&N Air Filter Replacement with Regular Air Filter Kit for 2002 Yukon Denali XL

I don't suggest K&N filters for any vehicle with a mass air flow sensor. The K&N filter is oil impregnated and can cause damage to sensors. Its better just to buy a ac delco replacement.

I have a 2001 Yukon XL 1500. I broke an AC belt. I had the belt replaced and the system recharged. It now makes a noise when you accelerate after start up. But that is the only time. AC blows cold...

Actually, you both could be right. It may be the bearing inside the compressor. The compressor does not make the cold air,it helps pressurize the system to get the freon from the evaporator to the condenser. The evaporator provides the cold air.If you can, open your hood and have someone start your car.Have them give it some gas and see if you can pinpoint the noise more accurately. If your compressor bearing causes it to seize up,you will probably only get a couple of miles before your belt snaps.Another slight possibility is the tensioner. It's pretty rare but stranger things have happened.I did have a compressor seizure years ago and snapped a belt though. If you can pinpoint the noise it would help to know.If you can't I would like a better description of the noise though.Good luck! Air Conditioner Problem

the most common problem here is a defective air temperature control blend door actuator, this is what moves the door that controls air flow across the heater core or the ac evaporator core, to replace this requires u remove the dash assembly.

OMGosh...denali blows out hot air on driver side vents

You can do on of two things to see if it will reset the hvac system. Remove the negative battery cable wait two minutes then reconnect. This may reset the hvac. If not you can turn your switch on, but don't start it. Pull the shift lever down to 1st gear tilt the steering wheel all the way down. Now start pulling toward you with the trim on the dash to remove the trim. When it is removed, you can remove the Hvac controller. Once you remove it disonnect the wires wait two minutes and reinstall. This should get you cooling.

2002 Yukon XL Denali Problem: When idling, goes below 500 RPMs, spits and sputters at idle. No check engine light, spark plugs are one year old. Could it be a sensor??

Most sensors will trigger the check engine light, however the TPS(throttle position sensor) or EGR Valve(exhuast gas recirculation valve) could be potential causes. Does this problem only occur at idle? Is the idle normal in park? Let me know and I can try to assit further.

Hope this helps
