2003 Kia Optima - Dashboard Lights not working.

The backlight on my gauges and odometer does not work. Though in the center of the gauges the shift indicator backlight works.

I checked the "cluster" fuse and it is fine. I also checked the dimmer dial for the dashboard lights and it does not work.

If you have aftermarket lights hooked up to the dash light it has been known to smoke the rheostat that controls the dimmer. I would also check the other fuses, sometimes the cluster refers to the guages themselves and not the lights that illuminate them

Hi I have a Toyota Corolla 2008. Its dashboard/ odometer and parking lights not working. RAC guy checked all the fuses and they were fine. May i know whats the issue?

Did you hit the dimmer switch by mistake? It's usually a rotary dial by your left knee, sometimes higher. It controls how bright you want your backlighting on your gauge cluster to be.

2004 kia optima odometer flashing

The gauges are computer controlled, if the system fails the gauses all stop. You need the dealer to scan this with the KIA tool.

Odometer stays on when key is off

sounds like you might have a short in the electrical circuit. i would suggest you have a kia certified mechanic take a look at it and track down and fix the short.

My gauges are not working, fuel, odometer, Sometimes it wanted to and then wouldn't

please check fuse "cluster", just put it out and then put in, because the fuse was OK

I have a 2004 Optima and need to know if the odometer reading stays on when you shut the car off

Usually no. When the car is off, and no keys in the ignition, dashboard should be DEAD.
If you have alive dashboard after keys removed, you have a short in your electrical.
Take to KIA for they may know already why it happens

All of a sudden today the dashboard lights (mph gauge, etc) won't go on. RPM gauge lights, also odometer, do light. At the same time, interior clicking to indicate directionals and hazard lights shut down...

It's hard for me to understand all of what you said, but I'd start with checking all of my fuses. Look for a blown fuse. Replace. If it blows again, you have a short somewhere.
