I can't get my running or dashboard lights to turn on when I power up the headlights. Brake, hazards, dome, blinkers all work fine and all fuses look ok.

Headlight switch is probably bad. It is relatively easy to change and a cheap part.

The headlight switch has about a dozen wires going in and out of it. It controls intstrument and radio light and dimming, parking lights, the dome light, and the headlights.

Acura 1998 RL blinkers and hazards not working? Replaced Blinker hazard unit under dashboard in fuse box. Still no blinkers and hazards. All other lights work fine.

Have you checked to see if your fuses are good ? If they are, you may want to check power at the switch and then at the relay. Might have a pinched wiring somewhere.

you have a short circuit somewhere that is causing the fuse to blow,it is most likely the headlights unless you have been messing with the dashlights, you will need to check all the headlight wiring to see if you can find the fault.......hope this helps......cheers

Check/replace the flasher control unit.
This unit is usually located under the dashboard. (It's the unit that normally sounds the audible 'click- click ' when the indicators flash).

I have a 2002 and one day had no headlight or dash lights. The tail lights, blinkers and hazards work just fine as do the radio of dome lights. Changed the multi-function and checked all fuses, but no help. I am interested in the solutions as well.

Turn Signals/blinkers

Did you double-check to be sure the fuses are intact and not blown? If they are OK, it could be a turn signal relay or the switch itself (I have firsthand experience with the switch failing with respect to headlight operation, so there's no reason to believe that it couldn't fail for turn signal operation as well).

If you find that it's the switch, reply here and I can walk you through its replacement - it's about a five minute job.
