While stationery when I turn the steering wheel

you don`t say how high the rpms increase. there is a power steering pressure switch that bumps up idle when the steering wheel turns so the car won`t stall. depending on how much pressure is created determines how much to increase the rpms.

Power steering does not work at low rpm

What is the idling RPM of the engine when this is happening? There are many different types of power steering systems out there these days on vehilcles. It would make it a bit easier if we had a little more information before we give you advice. Year, Make Model, Milage, ect...Any other known issues with vehilce? Yes, the most likely culprit could be the pump because as time goes on the internal pump compoinents start to wear down and the tolerances become to great and at low rmp it cannot keep the proper pressure needed to give adequate power assist to the steering gear.
Hope this helps
Sincerely'
Roger

My 1996 Olds LSS doesn't idle properly, idling surges sometimes, the temp. gauge doesn't work and sometimes the heater doesn't work.It may stall while driving. If I get in and the power seats...

Your first problem is to find out why the intermittent no-power problem. Honestly, that sounds like a loose conmnection somewhere. check all your grounds for clean and tight conditions Also, battery connections and alternator connections. Double check your power distribution center for any loose wires or poor connections. Once you solve that problem, then you can diagnose the other problems with poor idle and temp. gauge.

My 1989 cadillac idiles low but once I turn the wheel it cuts off

remove and clean the IAC idle air control it is probably sticking and giving a low idle. or replace it if need be. it should idle at about 7-800 rpms, i think thats why it quits when you turn the wheel. it is putting more stress on the pump and the engine. check idle. Good-day !

Need an exploded diaghram of power steering pump to replace gasketes and orings

I really doubt that you can get parts for your car/truck power steering unit. Now day it R and R. Maybe on some old model maybe.

Remove and Replace. I can almost guarantee that it cheaper to get a rebuilt power steering pump and trying to fine parts then brake down the power steering pump and then reassemble it, and hope it works. If you purchases a rebuild pump and it doesn't work. Take it back and the auto retail store will just replace it. Try do that to a pump that you or your friends rebuild and it doesn't work. It easier to replace it. Sorry.

Back in the 50's we rebuild everything, pumps, water pumps, generator including rewinding the commentator with new connector. rebuild brake shoes. GB you.... stewbison

My 1996 nissan sentra runs good but when i come to a stop and turn steering wheel the idle drops and stalls a little , almost shuts down . Is there a quick solution ?

sounds like your power steering idle up switch is not working. Rpms should go up when you used your steering. Rhere is a switch built into the power steering system to raise rpms when you are turning steering wheel. It looks like it has a problem.

Grinding noise in motor oil is fine so is tran would it be power sterning pump

Yes, a common problem is low fluid in the power steering pump causing a 'grinding' noise that increases in pitch as the motor increases its RPMs.

Check that, next.

2004 Trailblazer is hard to to steer when the RPM's of the vehicle drop to idle speed. It acts like it doesn't have power steering but if you raise the RPM's it's fine. Supposedly had a new pump installed...

There is a sensor in the hydralic steering line that tells the PCM to raise the engine RPMs when power is called for when idling. Check to see if the wire connector is attached, if so you may need to have the sensor replaced.
