Question about 2006 Ford Taurus
One time i get in to start the car and nothing, dash ligts all show. Not even an attempt or clicking from the starter. Battery tests fine, alternator is chargin. after it sat for a several hours it starts right up as normal. No warning or engine lights. It starts up fifty percent of the time.
Check operation of auto transmission neutral switch; if that is not faulty check 'Start' output from Ignition sw (or start slave relay) is OK;
If all above OK check for faulty starter motor operation.
