Baro sensor

its not 1995 tracker, its a usa 96
or canada 98 at least.

the 96+ have 2 baros. p1451 p1 MEANS SUZUKI FACTOR ONLY CODE. (NOT FED)
one is the EGR baro for testinG only it (usa laws)
and the one hidden inside eCU for alitude. readings
had one 96 that spiders got inside it and made nest.
easy fix.
wish you posted true year, sad that.
years match books and facts by year/
ill now teach you, how to use said book
the free 1996 book posted 100s of times here
10,00o hits i google.

now what page. easy diagnostics (PAGE 31)

i mean on or the other can be bad, (its a comparison see?)
i pull the top of intake maniffold MDP baro senors
clean it good with CRC MAF cleaner(safe)
then put it back
push reset on scan tool and drive
if P1451 returns'
open ECU lid, and clean that BARO sensor there
whats there cant guess, but has some junk there, gunk, webs
water, what ever, there.
the book says replace ecu that is $400 at CARDONe.

This is a hard one, only
i have a photo
bottom near center, see baro with gaping hole in it>?

fixed mine, (im an ecu fixer, retired)
and fired all spider gangs in my garage. LOL

Water pump went out on my 96 Honda Accord EX 2.2L VTEC. I replaced timing belt, balancer shaft belt, water pump, both serp belts, and tensioner according to manufacturer specs. Put everything back together...

A bad EGR valve could cause your car to experience hard starting, a rough idle, cruise control surges, popping noises from the exhaust, backfiring and sudden engine stops with cold weather or after deceleration.

Engine sputters under load. engine surges then drags---sometimes it runs normally then for no reason problems arises again.

Have your EGR valve checked. Defective EGR valve will cause all the symptoms youare experiencing

Yes you can by-pass the EGR valve. The only problem is that when it comes down to getting it smogged it will not pass. So that should be considered before bypassing the system. If you still want to by-pass the system let me know and I will tell you how to do it. But again it will not pass smog without it working properly

I have a 1997 suzuki sidekick jx it did not pass smog the data trouble codes are p0300 random multiple cylinder missfire detected, p0400 exhaust gas reciculation flow. how do i fix?

In this case you need to take a look at your EGR Valve and Solenoid. I would check with your local auto parts store to see if they check those for free (some do and others charge a small fee). Most likely you have a bad EGR Valve or EGR Solenoid. Hopefully this gives you some direction. Thanks for using FixYa!

Check throtle position sensor... one section closes a set of contacts when you take your foot off the accelerator... this is sent back to the engine control computer which adjust the timing to insure the engine stays @ ~ 800 rpm. It's easy to set with just a simple multimeter...
