Question about 2003 Saturn L-Series
03 L200 saturn, 75,000mi. original owner. while driving down the interstate, pulled over for a break, shut the car off, came back outside. the car started and as we were going onto the ramp towards the interstate we stalled. I checked under the hood there are no signs of any leaks, also no smell of fuel. I thought, maybe just vapor lock, but it still did'nt start. We were towed home and the car is sitting in the driveway now..
This engine is fully computer controlled, so what you need to do is have that control module (PCM) scanned for fault codes, that is the first step, other issues like engine failure can not be ruled out either.

SOURCE: 2001 Saturn L200 start and stall
Have you done any component testing? U1000 is a data issue, cant read pulses per minute. This is usually due to a defective crank sensor but you should do component testing first so you don't replace parts on random. Other reasons for this failure can be faulty ignition switch cam positioning sensor, Blown fuse, bad ground, or ECM.

Im thinking your going to be ok as far as warranty repair,if your dealers service dept is insensitive, call Saturn assist @ 1.800.553.6000 On to the ignition switch ....separate colum halves with #2 screwdriver> access ignition housing and look for trip slot on top side of cylinder>use pocket size screwdriver to trip button in slot while in ACC position and pull out...good luck

I would send the car in for a smoke test...So much easier to find the leak...
