Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer

N keeps blinking on dash board

While driving today the car lost power all of the sudden (before this N was blinking on the dashboard while I was running in D)
has anyone an idea of what causes this?
Mistubishi Lancer 2007 Japanese Version
I stop the engine and started it again, tried again and shortly after this the car regained power and started working again, although the N kept on blinking for some time.

The 'N' blinking can be a sign of transmission problems. Have this checked by a qualified technician for a more thorough diagnosis.

We had a similar problem with and Opel Astra.

Hope this helps.

what happened when you tried jumping the car? sounds like it could be a bad ignition switch since only non-switched things work.

That means it has a miss. Either you need new spark plugs, wires, or a bad coil. Make sure all the spark plug wires are on all the way.
