don't double the washers you can have a brake fluid leak (dangerous). you're trying to tighten the brake line to the caliper? did you change calipers? is it the original bolt? what exactly have you done?

- check the bolt thread and the thread inside the caliper. it's possible the bolt was not straight with the hole and now it's striped the thread. depending on how badly it's striped you may need just a new bolt or you may need to get a new caliper and bolt. keep in mind it's not just a regular bolt it is hollow and brake fluid passes through it. if the thread is not to bad you could also try a rethreading tool. what ever you do after if all put together have someone step on the brakes hard and check for leaks.
