Question about 2004 Toyota Sienna

1 Answer

Rear AC isn't cold, but driver and passener side is

Originally is was just the passenger side that was cold. Mechanic replaced the cabin filter and added 2 cans of freon, and now the drivers side is cold too, but the rear passengers air is not cold.

Ran it for about 20-30 minutes, and it eventually started kicking out cold air. Maybe the freon added had to work through the system???

    Problem self-corrected.

Why do I have cold ac on driver side and stale air on passenger side. what could itbe? and notice water and antifreeze on passenger side floor board well at least that what it smells like like to me.

antifreeze anywhere inside the cabin is a sign of a leaking heater core. Rub the liquid between two fingers. If it feels oily, it's coolant.

Dual-Zone AC Problem

My guess is that one of the hose's has a leak and needs to be replaced. A mechanic can run some tests to check if that's the case. Best of luck.

Heat comes thru driver's side vents, but blows cold air thru passenger side vents

You likely have a faulty blend door. It could be electrically, mechanically related, or even a broken door. It may be the blend door motor, or possibly the temp sensor.

My ac when on blows hot on passenger and cold on driver,we have already changed compressor, dryer, cabin filter, actuator, freon, and cleaned the lines

does this car have dual temp controls so the temp can be different then what the other side is set at.if so you could have a temp door motor for the passenger side that is not working and needs replacing.if the a/c blew cold on the drivers side then you have done alot of unnecessary work and expense as this should have told you the a/c system was working okay as far as what you have replaced.check to see if the air temp door(motor) is the problem for the passenger side.

2005 Avalance that has intermittent AC problem. When you turn on AC, the drivers side will start blowing HOT air, while the passenger side blows cold. Two years ago, a mechanic replaced a part and it...

If you dual climate control sounds like it the mode door actuator that controls driver and passenger temp. If it went bad again then there is something wrong with the mode door itself causing the actuator to short out

My A/C isnt cold...I tried to charge it but the gauge on the can said the pressure was to high!! Any suggestions?

You might have to have the ac system flushed, if its not cold. If you have low air blowing from the motor to the drivers side but the passengers side is high, try checking the ac filter or cabin filter, that might do the trick.

On my 2003 jaguar s-type v8 4.2 my cabin filter is on the passener side. all help web sites say it is on the driver side. i am having a hard time buying this filter. it looks like the ones all the parts...

If your jag is right drive it is located passenger side
Left hand drive is located drivers side
Filters can not be interchanged
Your parts shops must have LHD filters
Check internet for prices, also phone local dealer to compare prices
good luck barry

A/C Problem Tensioner rattling

well if it is the engine i am thinking of that has the small ac belt with the little tensioner on the passenger side bottom area it is most likely the ac clutch is locking up turn the rear air of have some one rev the motor watch the tensioner if it is moving alot banging into another part making the rattle then you might get ready to have to replace the compressor when it gets worse they usually break the tensioner.
