Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Alero
Turn on the key and you can hear the fuel pump run for a moment then it storps. The car tries to start but will not. Seems like it is out of gas but it has pleanty of gas. Do not know what triggers the injectors
Disconnect the air filter tube from the throttle body. have someone step on the gas pedal or simply open the throttle valve then try to check if you smell gas inside the intake manifold. if you do smell gas, then you have an ignition problem. check if the spark plugs are getting sparks.. a general mechanic can easily isolate the problem. Have it checked.
