Question about Chevrolet C2500
I have a 1988 2500 Silverado which the power windows nor power locks work on either door. I have power at least to the plug connections for the windows motor but motor does not work, nor do the locks.
I've replaced the driver side window motor to no avail. I had found before I changed the motor that sometimes the motor would work, then would top like there is a bad connection somewhere. I checked the grounds and all appears to be gounded.
Is there a relay or something I'm missing? I find it very odd that neither doors windows or locks work.
any help is appreciated.
Will the power lock work from the passenger side button?
If it does, its just your switch assembly.

PULL THE DOOR OFF MAKE SURE THE 2 LITTLE DOOR HANGERS ARE CONNECTED TO THE SWITCH MECHANISM IF IT IS. THEN YOUR SWITCH IS BROKE. GO TO SCHUCKS AND ASK THEM IF THEY CAN ORDER YOU A WHOLE NEW DOOR LOCK SWITCH ASSEMBLY. REWIRE AND TAA-DA!!!

if you can here relays when unlocking/locking check for power at door lock actuators inside doors, if you have power on lock/unlock and good earth from connector actuators are faulty.
if no power on test light when operating check output from central door lock module while operating, none coming out of module then it might need replacing.
check 30Amp power fuse for main relay under bonnet (which goes to pin 8 white/blue on module)and 10Amp gauge fuse in cab(pin 1 blue/red on module),pin 15 is also power when relay is on(red/blue) with test light, and module/ actuators.
check outputs from module pin 3 & 4
that go to door locks

most liky your window got left down a few times too many.. what happens is the water or moisture will create corrosion will biuld up inside the switch and once it covers the contact inside it will stop the connection, you can try to take the switch itself apart but 90% of the time you will break the switch opening it up. if you have the time try to clean the contacts if not just replace the switch..

I believe they are on a circuit breaker. I dont have a wiring diagram here at home. But usually windows and locks are on a circuit breaker.
