If you can hear the window motor running when you hit the up switch you need to remove the door panel and check the window regulator. If you don't hear the motor running try a new switch.

the two wires going to the motor one wire should read hot when the switch is in the up position and the other wire should read hot when the switch is in the down position. The switch switches the polarity on the two wires going to the motor.Unplug the motor and test it with two wires hooked to a car battery.Switch the the two wires to make the window go up or down.

Locating power window fuse - Cannot figure out which one is for pw - passenger window won't go down

There is just one fuse for all windows, so the problem here is that most likely the power window motor is defective or the regulator is jammed up, take the door apart and test the motor.

Power window volvo s60

this Might work> while standing outside the car press and hold in the open button for the door lock. the windows should all open together. if not maybe the cable snaped or the window is jamed. another thing you can try gently is to try force the wondow up by hand as the PW button is pressed in

1992 Honda Accord Best way to fix PW to go up and down (has power to switch) Have also tried to clean the rubber next to window, lub etc... but still stiff and rarely works... then window is frozen...

The power window electric motor is going bad. It's a common sign when it works for a little while, sometimes, that the electric lift motor needs to be replaced.

My power windows stop working... The driver window doesn't come down but all the rest of the windows have to be let down on their own meaning I can't let them down from the driver's side... I would like to...

Either your motor is bad in the driver's side window, or the wire is broken. The fuse is located under the dash, in general, behind a removable door. There should be a listing of the fuses and their locations there, but if there isn't look on the actual fuse panel for power options like windows (like PW for Power Windows).

Good luck on fixing this poblem.

How do i put the power steering belt in a 1989 cadillac

There are two bolts to loosen. One is in the hole on the pulley. The other is on the bottom behind the pulley. Both were 15mm bolts. I had to take the upper fan shroud off, and the fan and clutch off to get to the botttom bolt. Once loosened, pry the power steering pump/pulley closer and put the belt on. Then pry it back and tighten the bolts.

Want to wire up toggle switch to run turn signals on car.have 3 way toggle,pw on middle post, switch up pw out to flasher to lite fixture. just lites up no flash. am i wiring wrong?

WEll, that is one idea, but I reccomend against it, as the brake light system is tied into the circuit, commonly. Just fix the t/s switch.
