Wont start. cranks over.

Backed out of driveway and washed it. Pulled back under carport. 2 days later it won't start. Where are the plugs located?

Ignore the first reply ("no plugs on a rotary...").

The RX-8's plugs (there's 4) are found offset down by the right-hand side of the engine bay (looking in from the front). Access is easier from the passenger-side (UK) wheel bay - jack car and remove wheel for easy access.

Points to note: There are two different types of plugs fitted (2 each of 2 types = 4 plugs), for each rotor housing there's the leading plug, and trailing plug. Ensure that you replace the correct plugs in each position.

I'm sure you know by now - when you drive the RX-8, let the engine warm-up before switching off, or in dire-need, use the recommended procedure in the owners handbook - hold revs at 4000 then switch off (with foot still on accel) to avoid flooding the engine.

You may not have any. if you have an RX-8 it is a rotary engine.

Is this a ford, what year and engine size? I would have to check if this is an interference engine? If so, I'd have to pull the head and check valves and pistons, see if any internal engine damage.

Won t start

run the fault codes and look for faulty cam/ crank position sensor as this is indicated by the backfire/hard start and lower idle RPM. Check that battery terminals are clean and tight..

2000 Dodge Stratus SE stalling and not restarting

Sounds like a broken wire probably close to where the computer is. I would inspect the harness here and then under and around the power distribution module (fuse and relay box under the hood) This can be removed for closer inspection of the contacts underneath.

Check all sensor connections especially the crank

Pull the MAP sensor plug connector out and try to start the car, if it starts and runs rough and then wont when the map is plugged in then replace it and you are a go.
I think this is your problem or fuel pump or the fuel pump wire is corroded typically where it connects to the harness and then goes into the body.
This is somewhere to start at least.

Car ran fine until I pulled into driveway. After I turned off ignition it wouldnt start again.

Have the battery tested and clean the battery cables. Just because it reads 12 volts doesn't mean it can supply power under a load.. Autozone and others test batteries for free

Does it crank over? The battery you unhooked? It was one of the coach batteries right? It has a single battery for the engine and two for the coach?
