Engine light on

No the service engine or check engine light means there is a problem with the performance of the engine or the emissions components.
You would need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes to proceed. Most auto parts stores can do it for free in hopes of selling you some parts.
You can look the codes up online.

Service engine soon light is on and a flame-like icon appears on the dash

Since your light is on, you need to take it to Autozone to have it scanned. There are many reasons that can cause a check engine light to come on, so it will need scanned. They will do it for free and they can tell you what is wrong with your car. Other part stores offer similar services.

The oil pump could be bad, or going bad. Oil pressure is effected by wear on the crankshaft main bearings and camshaft/s bearings. If those bearings are bad, that would make it lose oil pressure, but I wouldn't think it's time for a new motor at that mileage!!! I would find out what the actual oil pressure is, using a "wet gauge" or oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure sending could also be bad, giving false readings.

My 2002 Honda Accord Ex 4 cyl has 110,000 miles on it and the check engine light came on. What could it be? I was planning on having the timing belt and water pump replaced tomorrow.

Check engine light comes on because engine computer has detected a fault. It could be anything, from a cheap sensor to an important component out of specifications, to a service reminder. Most shops (not necessarily Honda dealers, ) have the diagnostic equipment to hook it up to your car and tell you what is wrong, before fixing anything. Usual rates for this diagnostic is below $100, including quote for repair.

2009 Hyundai Tucson, check engine light came on

Did you forget to tighten the gas cap correctly? This has caused many many lights to come on. If not, then drive it till you can get it to the dealer.

Dear Sir/Madam: Would u pls let me know what possible causes, defects or problems would be when I get this sign on the panel: "SERVICE ENGINE SOON". Previously I wrote "CHECK ENGINE SOON". Sorry!!!!.

your maintenance service is overdue and that triggers the dash warning.  The mileage triggers these alerts an good maintenance shop can reset them.  Have your oil and other services done

2003 Tundra timing belt

Perform a general tune-up - checking plugs, plug wires, belts, coolant, filters and timing. Check the alignment and wheel bearings. Check the engine compression. Check the hoses for corrosion. You just want to kind of look everything over real good and see if there is anything worn like belts and hoses. Other than that just keep maintenance up.
