Mazda 626 1999 Gxi - abs light comes on

My abs light keeps coming on - though sometimes not.

The back brake sometimes sticks on - though comes unstuck when u reverse her.

Any ideas why the light keeps coming on?

Many thanks

Sounds like a dry caliper(if disc brakes) or dry wheel cylinder (if drum). Some times a good cleaning goes a long way but may take some disassembling to do it.

When I apply the brakes on my Dodge 2500 they sometimes push back and the ABS light comes on the dash, why?

You have a abs problem. Most likely a wheel speed sensor. Have system scanned for codes. The reason the pedal pushing back is system detected a skid. Brakes should work fine though

It should not be low fluid level causing it.All though i would not let the brake fluid level get low at all.

ABS light on, flashing 4wd 2005 Mazda Tribute

Even though your anit-lock brake system light comes on, dosen't mean your brakes will not work. All the ABS does, when applying the breaks, it compensates breaking power like pulsating your pads off and on the rotor in which without ABS your doing the same thing manually by pressing n releasing the brake pedal. And usually half the time it's a sensor that goes out and can be checked at your local autozone or auto parts store where they can plug into your car and will display a code that pertains to your ABS problem. Hope this helps.

ABS dash light keeps coming on

Here's a few things you could check, first try checking the fuses, if there good check the wheel speed sensor connecectors located on the backside of the hubs, also check the brake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake fluid level.

Abs & Brake light on.

I have found that the wheel sensors for the abs system get very dirty and cause the abs warning light to come on. You can try to clean them if you have the tools to take them off but usually you just want to replace them.

Your brake warning light and your rear braking problem may be caused by the same problem,
the cable sticking. Good luck!
