Question about 1997 Dodge Intrepid
Is it the red check engine light? If it is then there is a emission problem take it to schucks or auto zone and have them pull the codes to see what they are, if any then get back to us with the information so we can give you a direction to go.

May be i could be of some help, first take the car too autozone, napa or a shop of ur choice & get it hooked up to a machine....then what ever codes you get find out what they are, it could most likely be a loose clamp, o2 cencor, your convertor or a whole in the muffler...so get tht dodge hooked up to a machine & read those codes, get back intouch w/ me cause i will like to know te out come.

My solution to an on going check engine light problem was to change the fuel pump.
