Freon gas has no odor. You might be smelling an oil or lubricant odor possibly. Hopefully not GASOLINE. Hope this helps.

What does it mean when gas is coming out the exhaust

It normally isn't gas, but condensed water that smells of gas. You gas contains a small amount of water which is turned into steam during the combustion process and this steam condenses back to water when it hits the cold exhaust. I trust nothing drips when the vehicle is warmed up after a trip?

BTW, great name!

My 1985 Olds Cutlass won't start and a get a strong odour of gasoline.

First check for fuel leaks. Be safe. Next I would pull the spark plugs and smell them for gas. If you smell gas on them, they are fouled out. Start with replacing them. Also check for spark. These are the two basics to check first. Spark and fuel. You have fuel because you can smell it.

How do I remove the mildew smell when I turn on the ac in my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis?

air filters when used are on the inlet side of the blower motor
that normally puts then behind the glove compartment so the glove box has to be removed to get to them
use a charcoal type filter to help reduce odour.

Idles rough at first start up then white smoke with slight smell of this a head gasket?

Is this car driven in a daily basis?
Check with your family member on DO NOT TOP OFF THE GAS TANK.When refueling the top off (excessive gas) will eventually destory the vapor control valve. When the valve go bad the vapor excape to the charcoal clean under the hood.
It's normal to have lite white smoke during the first 15 minutes of warm up. Pay close attention to above normal operating temperture and white smoke after 15 minutes of warmup/drive time.
To pin point a blowing headgasket you will need
1)coolant system compression tester
2)chemical reaction test for combustion test gas
If it's the org. engine from 1994,with over 150,000 then blown headgasket is a good possiblity.
Tow it to the shop and let the pro to do the coolant pressure test and combustion gas test.
A full head gasket job with head re-surface (if it can be re-use) is worth it.
Shop around on well estiblished independent shops.
Fix the blown head gasket at the first stage of failure can save you thousand on a head replacement.

Fuel smell on start-up, 94 Grand Prix

Remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator and have some one turn the key on if it leaks gas out its bad this will explain the smell. Also does it have a hard time starting when it sits for awhile ?
