Find the sensor that is plugged into the accumulator on passenger side normally it Will have two wires the dryer will be silver or aluminum colored unhook the connector put a paper clip in the connector if the compressor comes on then you have it, Warning if low on refrigerant you can damage the compressor if on for a long period of time, check to see if AC gets cold turn it on to Max AC fan full blast and see it it's cold, if it is the switch is bad, if it does not get cold then it needs to be serviced.

97 Grand am v6 up & down idle. Driving =steady acceleration. I've changed, O2 sensor, throttle positioning sensor. Scan is still saying Random misfires? Get warm won't start.


P0300 Random misfire - lean condition , vacuum leak , low fuel pressure , fuel filter plugged partially , mass air flow sensor .
If the misfire is random, check for the following conditions:

System Grounds: Ensure all connections are clean and properly tightened.

MAF: A Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor output that causes the PCM to sense a lower than normal air flow will cause a lean condition.

Air Induction System: Air leaks into the induction system which bypass the MAF sensor will cause a lean condition. Check for disconnected or damaged vacuum hoses, incorrectly installed or faulty crankcase ventilation valve, or for vacuum leaks at the throttle body, EGR valve, and intake manifold mounting surfaces.

Fuel Pressure: Perform a fuel system pressure test. A faulty fuel pump, plugged filter, or faulty fuel system pressure regulator will contribute to a lean condition.

Air Conditioning Sensor Location


the sensor/s are in the air vent block and there is on on the unit in the box. if it just stopped working it could be the pressure sensor when was the last time it was pressure tested it could be low and need topping up.

If you have looked up the code and it tells you the vehicle is running lean and you have changed the O2 sensors, you may have a clogged fuel filter or worst yet a fuel pump that is going bad and not providing enough pressure. Take it to a repair shop and ask them to test the pressure. It is an inexpensive test that will only take a couple of minutes. If the pressure is low try replacing the filter first as it is much cheaper than replacing the fuel pump that is in the gas tank.

Empty with front and rear air - probably 2.5 lbs which is more than 3 cans.
There should be a sticker under the hood that says. Maybe in your owners manual too.

How do i turn up the idle on a 2007 chevy uplander


Hello,
With newer vehicles that have EFI, ( electronic fuel injection ), there are no mecanical adjustments you can make for the idle. Years ago you could just adjust the throttle cable, or, the air/gas mix.

For a bad idle, high or low, the most common causes are;

1. A dirty air filter.
2. A faulty MAF, ( mass air flow ), sensor.
These two prevent the ECM, ( electronic control module ), from determining the proper fuel/air mix ratio, which should be 1 part fuel to 14.7 parts air.

Another common cause for a bad idle is TPS, ( throttle position sensor ), sometimes the throttle body can be removed and cleaned and then reinstalled.

i have an 2007 chevy uplander flexfuel i keep getting p1174 also i have replaced the the o2 sensors and the light keeps coming on
i belive it has something to do with the fuel injection system
