The low side is the larger of the two AC lines from the compressor.

What kind of ac coolant does it have 134a or r 12 and where is the low pressure port for the ac located

Depends on the year. Cars in the early 90's used R12. Anything later uses R134a. The size of the charge ports will define the R134a port. An adapter is needed to fit on the charging hose. R12 requires no such adapter. Ther charging label under the hood will tell you what refrigerant is needed too. Since you failed to give enough information on what make and model car you have, a general answer for the location of the low pressure port will be given. On the compressor, the larger diameter hose connection is the low side. Connect there, or look for the drier/accumulator (Large diameter silver container near the firewall). Connect there. You will need to access the AC information label under the hood to determine how much freon to add to the system.

Where is the ac port located to add freon

On a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero LTD, the a/c charging port is between the battery and the windshield. It is the port that has a cap labeled with an "L" (Low Side).

When the a/c is on, "L" (Low Side) gets cold while the "H" (High Side) gets hot.

Make sure you use the Low Side (cold) for adding Freon.

(note: over the counter freon kits should not fit the High Side port anyways) 6d9ed8b1-112d-471e-93a4-44bee9a08459.jpg

Where is the low pressure AC port on a 2000 mercury sable

It should have a plastic cap labeled with an "L". High has a larger port, so a low connector cannot go onto it. Be sure to clean it before connecting as a small piece of dirt or sand can ruin the pump.

Location of the lower pressure hose for ac of a 2003 oldsmobile silhouette. Trying to install coolant bought from Wal-Mart.

One cap is labeled "H" (for high pressure) and the other is labeled "L" for low. As a further safety measure, the ports are different sizes so you physically cannot attach the pressure gauge or hose to the wrong port! It's pretty failsafe. follow a/c hoses back from pump and you will find it, its cap is marked " L ". ( low side ). have a good day !!

Trying to find the low pressure port to refill freon. Where can i find it on 2005 ford taurus

Look at the colored pressure caps on your A/C lines. One is labeled with a H and the other with an L. The L is the low pressure side. Should be the smaller of the two

Where is the A/c low pressure port and A/c clutch in a 2002 hyundai elantra gls? Is it labeled anywhere? I believe I need to add refrigerant but I am not sure where and I can't afford at all to take it to...

YOUR LOW PRESSURE PORT IS USUALLY FOUND ON THE ACUCULATOR AND IT COULD BE THE COLOR BLUE OR LOCATED CLOSE TO IT. THE A/C CLUTCH IS ON THE A/C COMPRESSOR WHICH IS CONTROLLED BY ONE WIRE. CHECK FOR FUSE FIRST BEFORE SAYING THAT THE CLUTCH IS BAD

How do I boost the air conditioning system on my 2001 Olds Aurora

On the caps that screw on the two AC ports you will see a Letter L or H.You need to add to the L(low) side and if you have no caps the hose connector on the can of freon will only fit the low side. Also, most of the time the low fittting is smaller than the high fitting is. When adding have your car running with the AC on and on the max setting.Hope this helps.John.
