If everything keeps going like that then it sounds like its a problem with the onboard computer. The computer controls all the guages and would explain why they all fail at the same time.

Replace the transmission filter. If transmission still acts up some trash may have penetrated the filter and be causing a shift valve to stick. A teardown and rebuild may be necessary.

SOURCE: what would cause steering wheel

Slop in the actual steering wheel is a result of either bad bearings, universal joints, or the brackets that hold it together. Take the covers off of the column and you should be able to see what is wrong with it.

Okay, my boyfriend owns a 2000 ford f-250 super duty and your prolly wondering as to why im asking about this instead of him ... well im more mechanically inclined then he is lol funny huh... okay heres...

It sounds like the shift tube bushings are worn out. There are usually 2 u shaped clamps that have nylon bushings that hold the shift tube to the steering clumn. If loose, that throws off the shift position, could be btween 2 gears at once, and throws off the park - neutral safety switch. Fix that first.

Where do i find the turn signal flasher on 2000 ford f350 super duty lariat

I would turn the turn signal or the hazard flashers on to find the respective flasher that 'clicks' when you hear and feel it, if functioning correctly.

It probably is buried underneath the steering column area under the dash.

2001 F350 SUPER DUTY; I ran my transmission about a quart low on transmission fluid. It ocaisionly shifts from 1st to 2nd irregularly and slips in 2nd. I can stop then start again and it shifts normaly.

Replace the transmission filter. If transmission still acts up some trash may have penetrated the filter and be causing a shift valve to stick. A teardown and rebuild may be necessary.

My o/d light flashes and engine revs and has no power when i shut off and restart it will be fine. f350 deisel

How many miles are on the transmission?? It sounds like there is low pressure going to the overdrive clutches or the electronic valve body controller in the transmisssion causing the flashing od light. Pretty typical. The fix would be have the transmission scanned, and it should narrow it down for you.

Transmission slipping

do u have any transmission trouble codes? u should if the OD light is flashing, the light flashes to alert u that a electronic malfunction is occurring in the trans controls, u may just have a bad trans connector or a shift solenoid starting fail due to a shorted field closing coil.
