Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer

No brake lights , everything else works

1997 blazer all lights work, except the brake /tail lights,the L.E.D. brake light on top works, bulbs are not blown

Try playing around with the turn signal lever,push towards the dash.had same problem with 98 blazer,that is where your switch is located.

Sounds like your brake light switch, located on the brake pedal, has gone out. Shouldn't cost to much at auto parts store. Thanks for using fixya.

brake and turn are the same filament in the bulb. Try a new bulb. if that doesn't work your going to chase a short/ground on that wire back to the switch. get a wiring diagram to help.

most brake light and tail light are the same the just use two way bulbs but ususally the top bulb is the tail light and the middle bulb is the brake

Is the top center light working (the light at the window)?? If not, check your brake light switch at the brake pedal. It may be damaged or needs adjustment. If the center light is still working, you will need to have the ground and leads checked at the brake lights. Hopefully this helps

Tail lights will not come on


check fuses my 1997 mitsubishi mirage had same problem and there were two seprate fuses under the hood. also you can google the locations to all fuses

97 blazer rear light problem


had a similar problem on a ford and that was the earths to the light set up
do the lights also dim on and off when the indicators are on if so this is definatly an earth problem
