There is an eclectric release on the brake pedal do you hear a click when the vehicle is running and you apply the brake if not check fuses. If all fuses are ok then you will have to take the console apart there will be an electric switch on the shifter check for power going to it. If there is power replace switch if you have no power I would consult your dealer. Hope this helps.

Why won't my Buick Rainier parking light shut off?

What year is it ? Parking light or Parking LIGHTS

It's probably the park lamp relay in the rear fuse box , contacts stuck together ! The body control module turns on the relay after receiving a input from the headlamp switch !
The rear fuse box is located beneath the left rear seat !

Buick automatic transmission linkage

Easy fix, it's your transmission linkeage bushings. They do break because they're plastic. Dorman makes them.

What's your problem?shifter got stuck on park

Your shift interlock solenoid works off of your brake lamp circuits. Check to see if you have any brake lamps. If your brake lamps are not working, chances are real good that if you fix your brake lamps, the shifter will fix itself.

Wheels locking up when turning sharply left or right

Could be one of several problems in the rear diff.
It depends if its the optional locking rear diff and it's stuck locked, or it is the limited slip and something inside caused it to lock.

See a mechanic before you do more damage.

go to an independant mechanic.a dealership will try to tell you things are wrong that arent and that you need to fix this or that while they have it there and then want to charge you 70 dollars an hour for the time they spend working on it.
