Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue
I cannot find the recharge port. I even have Alldata and it doesn't seem to say. Unless what I'm looking for is actually the switch/sensor, but I'm thinking not.
Help is greatly appreciated.
Did you take a voltage reading across the battery post, engine off and read again with engine running?
The red wire L terminal on the multiwire connector is the turn-on signal for the alternator. That may not be full battery voltage. On some systems there is a warning about running full battery voltage to that terminal. The L and F terminal both are connected to the pcm.
Cross change manuals are expensive, not all 3.8s are interchangeable. Best bet is call your local junk yard they have the manuals, tell them what you have and they will tell you all the 3.8 engines that are interchangeable for your vehicle.
