Take apart the door you might have a broken wire or could be a torn wire or you could check too on the little piece of rubber that covers the wires from the door to the body. .

Dashboard warning light for doors will not go off when doors closed

This indicates a miscommunication between the door sensors and the computer. Use your multimeter, crack open your door panels to find the wiring connectors to the door switches. Continuity test the switches. If they all show a closed circuit when pressed, move upstream along the wiring, looking for breaks (fuses, damaged wiring, etc).

My power mirror, window and auto door lock switches on my driver door wont work

first thing to check is the wiring between the car and the door.
probably about 3/4" thick bundle of wires with a plug to disconnect it from the door.
check is is plugged in properly with no obvious signs of damage to the wiring.
one or more of the wires are likely to be broken as they flex from repeated opening and closing of the car door over the years.
check the fuses for any blown ones, but mirrors, windows and locks would normally be on separate fuses and it would be unlikely for them all to break at once.

another possibility is a bad earth between the door and the body, but this can be ruled out very quickly by connecting a heavy wire or jump lead from a good earth point on the body to a good earth point on the door and seeing if anything works.

My 97 f350 back windows wont work.

Have you checked wires in drivers door jamb by hinges, in the loom for damaged, or broken wire?
Pretty common place for a short or break in wire from door opening & closing so much.

Door wont open with the master key,a 1997 volkswagen golf 5 door

Does your key have a chip? Some keys have a chip that is part of the cars' anti-theft system....they can go bad or be damaged; these types of keys can be replaced and re-programmed. If the key opens the passenger door or the hatch and not the driver's door check the wiring and locking mechanism for that door. You might also check if there is a fuse or relay switch/sensor for it....sometimes cleaning the main lock switch inside the car and checking that the wires have a good connection will solve the problem. Posting more info about the problem and if there was any type of work (battery replaced?) or other problems before this happened would be extremely helpful. Good Luck!

Door won't lock and alarm keeps sounding

It's always a good Idea to check fuses first, as that is the easiest thing to fix.  I would suspect if its not a fuse it may be the door open sensor, if you open the door there should be a device in the door frame of the car where the door connects to the car door hinges.  If you push that sensor in with your finger it should turn off the interior lights.  It may be wiring to that sensor, or the sensor itself, also the sensor may have worn out to the point where it does not push in enough to activate the switch anymore.  good luck.
