Oh, i had this problem several times... look, the best answer that i can give you is to buy a new one, there's sony's cd-players that are great, me and my father have. now, if you want to stay with this cd player just insert the cd several times until it will play. but again, you better buy a different one.

you need to ring a renault garage with the chassis num. they will give you a 4 digit code. to enter the code yo must use the control for the radio attached to the steering wheel. if the code for example is 3456 you turn the wheel on the control until the first 0 reaches 3.then click the wheel towards your self to move to the next digit. hen you have all the digits in hold the wheel for approx 3 seconds to enter the code

Hi - the way to enable code mode is to turn off the radio - then hold down 2&5 & press the on button - this will bring you into the 0000 code mode.

You really need the code. The radio will shut down after a period. This is something particular to Renault. It may be a feature that allows the radio to be tested without knowing the code.
Check the handbook if you don't have the code, sometimes people write them inside somewhere.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls
