We need to know what the correct fuel pressure is supposed to be in our 1997 Lincoln Continental. We are changing the fuel pump tonight. Thanks!

I have a 1997 Lincoln Continental. Replaced fuel pump now my spark plugs are not getting fire, my fuel injectors are not working or my fuel pump.

Need to check the power wire to fuel pump if the wire is broken or cut it will not have continuous power throughout the fuel systems

It is impossible to answer your question without knowing the YEAR and ENGINE of your Lincoln Continental.
Also, whatever possessed you to REMOVE your fuel tank?? How are you getting fuel to the engine?

I have a 1997 lincoln continental v8 4.6l. Car was working fine when i first bought it. about 3 months later it started to lunge forward. the car sounds like it is accelerating. after it does this it will...

when all else fails thru professional diagnostics then the only other option is to replace the computer. not knowing what diagnostics have been performed I dont think anyone can give you the correct answer at this point. Also not all mechanics are created equal. You may need to get an older and wiser one.

1997 Lincoln Continental w/4.7 DOHC. If I leave the car sit for a couple of days, it will turn over but will not start, then a couple of days later it will start without doing anything. If I start the car...

with the key on engine off it should be 32>40 psi and drop to no less than 30 psi and hold... if not your looking at a pump assembly, check your fuel filter or replace it and retest.....hope this helps...GL

Im not quitre sure but did you bleed the system...on the fuel rail on the intake there is a zert fitting like a tire valve try bleeding the system could be trapped air
