I need an engine diagram for my 1993 thunderbird I can't find the starter..

Look at the battery look for the red or positive side of the battery follow the wire until you come to the starter it will be on the right or left side of the engine underside, ya don't need a diagram.

    For anyone who is currently seeking this info: The starter is around the front passenger side wheel well. You need to jack the car up to really get at it but if you just need to tap it to get it going (when your starter is failing), then crank the wheels to the left and you can reach in just far enough to touch the starter and jiggle the wires.

u can clear the codes 2 ways either by having a shop or auto parts do it or by unhooking the battery for 10 minutes.

What is the right way to hook up the electrical part of a starter in a ford 429 engine.there are several possible places to hook up electrical. is it just the main negative lead., or are there other leads...


There should only be one starter cable running to the starter motor from the starter solenoid, here is a diagram to help assist you and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Rebuilt chevy 454 engine, now need distributor and


just put a new starter in my 1993 chevy 454 and now i'm not getting fire, the old starter solenoid was sticking and melted the neg battery cable. I'm wondering if that also burned something else out?

sounds like there is heavy resistance in your start solenoid first try cleaning the stater & battery terminals if that fails replace the start solenoid

How to replace a starter


assuming you have either a 2.0 or 2.3L engine the starter is located on the back side of the engine. You may have to remove the air intake tubes from the throttle body. It sits just under the intake on the transmission. If you need further clarification let me know
