Did anybody ever figure out what this was. I have a mechanic that may not know how to fix it but heres the story. I have a Audi A6 2.7T 2001 Sports Pack and the traction control and ABS lights would come one when at high speeds or if i try to go fast at a stop light. The light would go away after i release the gas and do notice a slight power lose. This all started to happen when i got my car back from the mechanic, they originally tried to troubleshoot a coolant leak and they first thought it was the coolant pump which was replaced when i did the timing belt 2 and a half years ago. They removed the bumper and all to check the coolant pump but later said it was the Thermostat cover housing. When i got my car back these lights started coming on so i went back and he said it was the Master Air Flow sensor, so they replaced it but I still get these light coming on. I'm going back a third time but wanted to see if I can shed some light to them to help them troubleshoot the issue.

I'm not a car repair guy but if I had to guess it's something they didn't put back together right. The issue wasn't happening prior to me coming into their shop. And I don't want to keep paying for charges they think the problem is. My tires are only a year old and my brakes are 1 1/2 years old.

I had the ABS light come on along with the service traction control. I had it checked at a GM dealer and was told that the right hub needed to be replaced. I OK'd the work thinking it would take care of...

Hi,the traction control light coming up means there is a fault detected in the system and a scan tool will be required to learn what fault has been detected. Possible steering angle sensor, wheel speed sensor or brake pressure sensor since the light comes up when making turns or when backing up. Faults are to be checked and proper diagnostic procedures carried out before parts replacement remedies.....

Audi TT 1.8 petrol 2000. Removing ESP switch on dash, are there any know tips? Regards ****

The ESP light has come on due to a fault with the abs/ traction system . It will req fault code reading by a diagnostic tester to determine the fault more than likely a abs wheel speed sensor.

Exclamation point in circle light on

Hi, Sounds like your abs braking system is at fault. The light would normally flicker when traction (tyres loosing grip with the road) is lost, Then as regained the light should go back out, however you have a sensor on each wheel either one of those may have packed in or your main ABS control unit under the bonnet may be at fault or on the way out. Also it may be your traction control switch that could be at fault. Hope this helps.

Speedo suddenly not working and two warning lights appeared on dashboard one being ABS light warning light.

If the ABS (and likely the traction control) light came on at the same time that the speedometer stopped working, you likely have a faulty wheel speed sensor at the right rear wheel. You can test this by swapping the two rear wheel speed sensors (ABS sensors). If the speedometer then works (but the ABS & Traction control lights stay on), replace the sensor that is now at the left rear (was at the right rear). If no change, you may have a fault in the ABS & Traction control - control unit.

Abs and traction control light is on dashboard what does this mean

When your ABS light comes on it means you have no ABS only normal braking. Also a traction light will come on at the same time becaust it is directly linked to the ABS to change torque before a wheel slips. You need to have it hooked up to a professional scanner, because there are many different possibilities of what is wrong with the ABS/TCS system. hope this helps!!!

I have an audit tt and the abs light and the traction control is on the dashboard. What does this mean

This will have to be serviced by qualified technician. Either the control circuit or pump is bad in the unit.

2000 Audi TT exclamation mark service light came on. Possible reason?

The light you are referring to is your ESP light. You should have a button above the radio that reads "ESP" Electronic Stability Program is what it stands for.. its your traction control. It is somehow directly tied into the MAF and if the MAF goes it turns off.
ESP, electronic stability control, keeps the car going where
you steer it. You might have a dirty ABS wheel sensor. Not always will the MAF trigger a CEL. But it can and will turn on the ESP light if its not functioning or plugged in. MAF can range from $80-$120 and Is easy to replace yourself. It is right next to the airbox.
