See if it's just a rubber grommet pushed over a plastic stud. Maybe spray a bit of something on it and any others it may have - then just wiggle and pull up on the box.

How do I replace the filter on my air conditioner on my 2000 Dodge Durango

The cabin air filter is behind the glove box. There are stops on the glove box that you need to remove to get the box to open all the way. Then look for a tray that you slide out.

I want to replace the fuel and PCV valves but I am unsure where they are in the engine compartment. Is there anywhere I can find a layout of the engine compartment that is accurate?

The PCV valve is a small plastic right-angle pipe located in the rear (firewall side) valve cover, on the passenger side end of the cover.
It can be removed by hand.

The fuel filter is located underneath the air filter box, it is a black metal cylinder, mounted vertically, about 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide with pipes mounted to the top and bottom. The lower is a 14mm flare nut, the top is a 17mm banjo bolt.

Where is the PCV located on a 2000 Dodge Durango.

there isnt one in the traditional sense. Just follow the smaller diameter hose comming from the air filter housing, it will branch off at a "t" one end will go under the throttle body and turn to the back of the engine and connect to the intake manifold, the other will heqad to the back also and connect. basically one tube on the driver side and one on the poassenger side but not really a valve
