You could have two different problem or they could be due to a faulty A/C Control Assembly

When the AC switch lamp does not light up, it could be a bad switch or the AC compressor control system. Test if the compressor works.

The rear demister switch light not illuminating could be a blown switch bulb. While operating the demister switch, listen for the relay working when switch is pushed ON and OFF.

Do you mean you drive 20min to work? It all depends what 20 means here as any other car would take some time to blow warm air and this happens when your engine warms up and the water cooling system gets warm after which you can have warm air inside the vehicle. There is nothing faulty here except that you need to have hot water going around the cooling system in order to get warm air inside.I assume that it is cold there and the only solution to this is to let the engine on 10 min before you leave. There is some harder measures to solve this and let me know if you are really desperate but the solution will be quite complicated.Hope this helps you.

Temperature gauge cold then back to normal

You have to make sure the thermostat is working properly and is the correct one. Idle the vehicle for about 20 minutes and then feel the upper radiator hose. It should be hot to the touch. Drive the vehicle and when the temp gauge falls to 'cold' stop and feel it again. If it is much cooler to the touch than before the thermostat is defective or wrong.

2004 subaru outback, heating system acting up

Thermostat Stuck on warm up & or you have
a possible head gasket failure & I would suspect
a loss of coolant.

If that is the case, you have a ruined exhaust converter &
O2 sensors as well & a $5,000 plus repair bill coming

No heat in my 2000 toyota tundra

Check to see if your coolant levels are down. Check to assure the coolant is circulating and that your thermostat is opening and closing and not stuck. Check toi be sure there is no blockages in your coolant system. The heater core could be blocked. Check to see if your switch on the dash that adjusts from warm to cool is functioning properly. It may be stuck in the cold position

First thing in the (cold) mornings heater wont work. water gauge flux's up and down weird . then about 20 mins into driving its warms up

Your engine coolant is what your heater gets the heat from. You need to start your car and let it warm up for awhile before any heat will come. This is how most cars heaters work. Yours sounds like it is working fine; most cars take a little while to warm up.

Hope this helps!

A few Problems: Starting, Heater & Radio

Problem 1: buy a system heater to keep the engine warm at night.
You can buy them at any autoparts store . You take your pick from the variety.
Place a light 100 Watt Bulb near the battery but not too close to anything else where it might burn anything.

Problem 2. Check your coolant level to see if you have the proper level. Make sure you have 1/2 antifreeze and 1/2 water if you add any coolant /antifreeze and bleed the colant system. By running the car let it cool, then turn the radiator cap or turn the bleed screw provided on some cars near the thermostat outlet. Then adding some more water and coolant etc.The tightening the cap or bleed screw. When radiator is full. Check the radiator and and remove any debris that may be keeping the air out.

Problem 3. Will get fixed because your battery won't die.

my car is now fixed i bought an accuator from the dealer for around 54 dollars and replaced the driver side accuator by removing the panel below the steering wheel moved all the wires out of the way and it was held on by two screws( .5mm) took around 30- 45 mins. and now the heat is cranking on both sides the dealer said that it is a very common problem in these cars to bad gm is to cheap to put out a recall

Running on lpg then stop turn engine off then start engine and drive 20 metres and engine stalls! switch over to petrol and runs ok switch back to lpg and stalls

check that your cooling system if full of coolant. the coolant that keeps the engine cool actually keeps the gas converter from freezing. alternatively is it hard to start of a morning when cold, if so could be butane wax build up from the gas, in the convertor.
