SOURCE: Replace parking brake cable
if your not experience with brakes i won,t attempt replacing the cable. if you always have a freezing problem use a wheel chuck.
it,s a wedge u put against the tire so a car won,t roll

Get under the dash ad look at your brake pedal lever. You will see a stop light switch that screww into a bracket with a 'button' sticking out of it. if pulling up on the brake pedal (even slightly) solves your problem, then the switch needs adjusting closer to the brake lever. If adjusting does not stop problem then replacement of brake light switch may be required.

I assume you mean the one on the dash. This is an indicator that there is a problem in your braking system. Make sure it's not low on Brake fluid and have the brake system checked or check it yourself. If your going to check it yourself I recommend the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle as a reference.
