Not true.poster never see a track-kick i bet.

the fuse box for Ign, is above left knee up to 1996 and maybe more.
the finder RHS fuses are MAINS. not specifics.

the fuse box above knee has a lid and the lid says which is which.

Disabling 1996 Geo tracker car alarm

permanently?
changed in 96. so,... sys. p/n is a dash ..61 now..
i guess you lost the remote fob? or is dead or bad. (programming?)
turn the valet switch to on. its now dead. (on dash switch)

way 2, remove the alarm fuses.
the controller has 2 inline fuses, behind the glove box.
to pin 11 and 12 of controller, RED and GREEN wires.
remove the internal in line fuses, 10A and 12a.'
warning !:once, done , fuse pull the main controller forgets the FOB
key codes, and must be relearned.
need a manual ask.

My 89 geo tracker blows the 40 amp fuse

You will need to trace the wire to find the short that is blowing the fuse. It can be in the harness somewhere. Usually the harness will be rubbing against the frame parts until it gets to the bare wire. It does take years to get that far

1992 Geo Tracker keeps blowing fuse for ignition coi/meter(15 amp)-Checked wiring harness and components and no problems found-Will usually run for 1 to 2 weeks then blow fuse several times-then will run...

could be the main computer - but last time a saw - they where over a $1000.00 dollars. suggest finding some one to install a matching amperage circuit breaker in place of fuse. it will trip and automatically reset - caution : if problem gets worse, could cause wire melting and fire

Bad ignition fuse

THERE SHOULD BE A FUSE PANEL UNDER THE HOOD WITH ALL OF YOUR HIGH AMP FUSES NOW YOUR IGNITION FUSE IS BIG IT IS MORE LIKE A RELAY THEN A NFUSE IT WILL BE A CUBE WITH ONE SCREW GOING THROUGH IT AND MORE THEN LIKELY BLACK IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PANEL DIAGRAM YOU CAN GOT AUTOZONE.COM AND PUT IN ALL OF YOUR VEHICLE INFO AND DO A PARTS SEARCH AND IT WILL ALSO HAVE THE DIAGRAM FOR YOU WHEN YOU FIND THE SWITCH

Fuel pump does not activate when ignition switch turned on. fuel pump is good probable electrical problem. Have no idea where to start.

Check fuses, if you dont know which one, check them all. Usually one fuse panel under steering column, and another hood, see your user manual

1992 Geo Tracker ignition switch

check power to the ignition switch with a volt meter.

if you have power, ok that is good. switch is bad.
if no power work backwards to battery via fuses on right engine bay fender.
