Ford Taurus & Five Hundred Clicking Noise In Dash Repair .... I have a 2008 ford taurus. there is ticking rapidly coming from the driver side by ...
My Chevy Impala started a clicking sound under the dash. It stopped ... Change the A/C controls until you hear the clicking sound coming from under the dash.
Do you hear any clicking or popping noises coming from dash area when you try to change the temperature? If so, you have either a bad blend door actuator or a broken blend door. If it's just the actuator, you can find it by following the popping noise to the location. It is under the dash close to the passenger's side of the vehicle. The actuator is easy to change once you find it. If the blend door is broken, you will have to pull the dash out and remove the air plenum from inside the dash to gain access to the blend door.
The clicking is probably your relay you can change it and see if thats whats wrong, its in your fuse box (bigger looking black squares). Most likely your wiring in your door is cracked, i have the same issue, however my window will work with the vehicle on and the door closed but not if the door is open and/or off.
WATER LEAK IN RIGHT FRONT OF PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
Publication Date: January 17, 2006
FORD:
2005/06 Freestyle ISSUE:
Some 2005 Freestyle vehicles may exhibit a water leak at the right front passenger compartment. This may be due to grommet for rear washer fluid line at dash not being fully seated. ACTION:
Inspect windshield washer grommet from inside vehicle under dash and properly seat if out of position. Pull carpet back and reach under bulkhead pad to install. Removal of instrument panel is not required. (Figure 1)
This is a common complaint on thise vehicles. There is a TSB that involves replacing motor mount brackets and adjusting and neutralizing mounts,I have done this TSB several times. It will improve the issue but not eliminate it. Basically it is a characteristic of this vehicle. At the time Ford didnt have very good luck making the 4 cyl engines run smooth. The vibration wont affect the long term durability of the engine
mcdevito75 here, Sounds like you have 2 problems First the water on the passeger side, it:"s most like luy a clogged drain for the A/C evaporator under the dash board, Check the drain hose on the firewal, just opposite the glove box, also if you can look under the dash on the pass. side and check the drain hose on the evaporatror. 2nd problem sounds like a bad heater core. Have your local shop check both these items for you
mcdevito75 here, Sounds like you have a problem under the dash with the main harness wireing as it comes thru the dash board from the firewall or at a connection under the dash board. Or if your dash board is controlled by a circuit board. Best Bet, Have an electrical auto shop in your area take a look, many things to take apart under the dash and you may make the problem worse with out realizeing it, no matter how versed you are with cars.
Some cars don't come with the option of a cabin filter. It's an option you could have installed. I have an 2001 Expedtion and I don't have a cabin filter. Be careful, some people will sell you these and your vehicle don't always have one.
