Question about 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan
Has anyone resolved this issue ? what was the repair cost ?

Sound like brake transmission shift interlock solenoid fuse.if fuse good .you have faulty brake switch or transmission shift inter lock solenoid

I had the same problem today, I can't believe all the Chryslers with the same problem on here. The manual release would not let it go into neutral either. I found a hot pink connector to the left of the gear shift that had broken, it appears to be where the brake release cable connects. I used a screwdriver to pull back on it until it let me shift it. Now if I can figure out how to get to it to work on it, I think I can replace it myself.
